Trial of Possession:
Angel Versus Redwolf Versus Antimar
-13-09-03
Soon after the chaos of the Trials, and the grievances made and Positions won.
Warrior’s Angel, Red wolf and Antimar took to the skies
For an emblem one lost and another one taken
The Prize: The Halo, the essence of warrior Angel
Taken by Antimar, yet now claimed by Roshak’s progeny
Against the claimer and owner he strove to fight
Against the odds and fires that confronted him.
Under the eye of Lore master Candyman Hazen, keeper of this proud record of our Clan’s greatness
The three duelled one on one, and the clear victor the owner of the Trial’s Isorla.
The first duel to be fought was between Red wolf and Antimar, the claimant and
bearer of the halo going claw to claw to win their prize.
Soon Red wolf, with falcon’s sight found his foe, taking his time along the hills of the Circle
And with falcon precision lashed at his foe with the burning brilliance of the laser
But Antimar stepped forward, seeking to perch upon the ridge his rival was crouched upon, yet stumbling across the rugged terrain.
As he walked, Red wolf took rest upon a hill-top spire, waiting for his moment to strike
Then with sudden sight the wolven one saw an opening, where his opponent walked
and struck him with more lances of light, searing his opponent’s feathers.
Against this onslaught, Antimar stood back, swooping to cover as the claimant of the Halo swooped onto a new roost, ready to strike again
Then Antimar realised his weapons were faulty, and realised that this would be fatal Red wolf cried out in joy, knowing his opponent was powless
With savage fury, Antimar was struck again by the might of his rival, whilst
floundering with an attack of his own
Then in a flurry of blows the warriors ducked and span
Tearing and rending metal
Encircling and exchanging blows, and sensing defeat warrior Antimar made such an
assault that would force Red wolf to pull back and take stock.
But blessed his skills, and with deadly aim
Red wolf struck his foe down, winning the first round of the Trial. With an oath that his follies would not be repeated by Antimar, he then strove against
Angel, whose Halo he strove to reclaimed.
In Summoner mechs, symbols of our ways they launched into battle
Closing in, Angel took the wisdom of his foes and took the high ground
Preparing for combat.
Then their sights bore onto each other, and an exchange was made from Angel as he took flight, then swooping down.
His foe strode onwards, hunting his prey, preparing his talons to strike Angel down.
The battle grew heavy as both locked horns, Angel bearing aloft upon his Jaded wings
and slashing at Antimar’s leg, hitting sure and true
Then Antimar strikes true in vindictive fury, striking twice in his rear, their rage
consuming their spirits and shells
Destroying each other in a consummation of flame.
But then with his fury the warrior Antimar struck forwards
Claiming his opponent in the crucible of battle.
Only one duel was left, between Red wolf and Angel
A victor and defeated, both tempered by combat
Both tempered by zeal to claim their isorla.
But with Turkina’s pride and a glimmering eye
Red wolf declared his foe unworthy of fighting a construct of our ways
Instead, choosing a shell of freeborn design
He taunted his foe, but to no avail
For warrior Angel’s focus was on the prize and prize alone.
So once more the warriors took to the battlefields, Angel mimicking his opponents in
choosing the Darkened Knight
No time was wasted as the two clashed and struck each other head on
Each wishing to claim their prize with the falcon’s tenacity
Each taking their time, but time was not on Angels side, as he fatigue slowed his sight
and his reactions, revealing himself to his opponent who struck him down
Again and again the Wolf hit his floundering foe until Angel fell from skies, defeated.
And as it was, Red wolf, son of Roshak claimed his victory and the halo all sought for Isorla.
Which was given to Red with full honours
Thus it was that this Trial was concluded.
