Trial of Entry:
Hatchling Gorilla
Then,ever-patient falconers decreed
the season had come for Gorilla
to fly the nest
and prove his mettle
Early was the hour
and dark the sky
when Gorrila strode forth
his mount,a bringer of hell
Three warriors faced him
seasoned veterans all
raven,conjurer and warhawk
these would test his mettle
The conjurer was first to his attention
they swooped and dived,graceful to behold
gunfire streaking the night,and lo
a hatchling's mettle was proven
A mechwarrior attested
Gorilla chose next the warhawk
he and his crippled hellbringer
proudly calling the behemoth to battle
An instant later,and from the warhawk came
four streaks of murderous lightning
tearing all remaining life from the hellbringer
the mech died,but Gorilla yet lives
Among the first star
of the third Falcon Talon Cluster
Gorilla now serves,worthy to be named mechwarrior
another Falcon true of Kerensky's dream
